We have a fantastic opportunity to join the French Strategic Accounts team, as Key Account Manager from our Montpellier headoffice.
The Key Account Manager Strategic Accounts is responsible to drive profitable market share growth across Europe withDecathlon of assigned categories, establish winning strategic partnerships with account teams. As ambassador of the assigned accounts & cateogries to internal stakeholders, the candidate will contribute to develop and execute Sales Strategies and focus on joint Category and Strategic Business Planning with the retailers to drive commercial results (net sales, margin, stock-turn, market share). As part of the Account Team the position will be expected to be expert in understanding the account’ strategy and translate it into specific (seasonal) initiatives to drive growth.
This role will be in charge of driving the development of the ASICS brands’ business with Decathlon of assigned categories across Europe.
Responsibilities includes:
Strategic Sales:
• Support the development of the account strategies, formalization by Strategic Account and Seasonal Account Plans;
• Be an ambassador and driver for joint long-term Strategic Business and Category Plans, being an expert in understanding the Customer’s business and ensure Account Fact Books are maintained and updated on time and accurate;
• Represent accounts internally as ambassador towards sales and marketing communities on global and local level, managed all interfaces;
• Work within the agreed ASICS trade terms and within the agreed distribution framework with customer
Sell-in / orderbook management :
• Create, present and negociate seasonal plan by category including range assortment, marketing support, supply initiatives… in conjunction with the Account Marketing and Merchandising teams
• Drive SMU plan with Merchandising, Category and management team
• Manage and negociate order book conversion with support of operation team to reach month/quarter/year targets
Sell-out / in-season controlling :
• To ensure continuous monitoring of sell-out, brand visibility, stocks to maximise sell-through & market share. Agreed on common targets (ROS, margin, stockturn…) with account teams and monitor KPI’s with account on a regular basis
• Measure progress on own KPIs. Report to all superiors along guidelines and monitor all reports. Monitor and report on customers and competitors activities and propose/initiate/take actions. Provide realistic plans and forecasts on customer performance and ensure customer compliance with agreements
This could be the perfect opportunity for you:
• You have a track record of Sales experience dealing with large accounts for the past 5 to 8 years whether it’s been in English or French;
• You hold a university degree preferably on Business or Sports Econonics, International Management, Marketing and/or Sales or have equivalent working experience;
• You are well versed within the Sports industry , FMCG and have developped a strong industry knowledge across footwear, apparel and accessories;
• You have had the opportunity in your past experiences to grow both your sales expertise and project management skillset, some digital capabilities are a plus. on top ideally Marketing;
• You have the ability to develop and implement a strategy, thanks to a thorough data analysis.

You are a natural leader with high resilience and great communication skills both verbally and written
You know that thanks to your structure and organisation, you are always on top of follow ups with multiple deadlines and parties.
